This was the second official production in the US after Broadway, and after the film's release. A U.S. Equity production, the cast was a mix of Broadway and non-Broadway performers. Frank was played by Justin Ross who went on to play Gregory in the film version of A Chorus Line. The theatre was "in the round" and so completely new sets and direction were used. The audience called back to the actors, as they did with the film. The 1st night cast were unsure how to react, but it was a huge success.

(Thank you Frank Cumello, who was Tech for the show, for the information)
